<h1>AERODYNAMICIST RIM PROFILE</h1><i>As learned from our Limitless Research project & wind tunnel time the past 3 years, an optimum aerodynamic benefit for a drop-bar bike is yielded from widening rim profiles. This allows for a far more 'blunted' spoke bed area, resulting in predictable airflow at a wider variety of wind yaw angles. The wider profile ensures the flow stays attached to the surface as long as possible before the point of separation, which is key as yaw angles increase.</i>

<h1>UD CARBON SPOKES</h1><i>TaperLock UD carbon spokes offer up to a 30% increase in lateral responsiveness against steel equivalents. Only 2.7g per spoke and yet can handle tightening forces of ~450kgf per spoke. Owing to the TaperLock technology, these spokes can be trued using a spoke key from inside the rim bed.</i>
<h1>HOOKLESS/STRAIGHT-SIDEWALL DESIGN</h1><i>When designing a wheelset with absolute lightness as the driving principle, then a hookless rim profile is the right choice. The weight savings offered (whilst being able to strengthen the rim) allow for a 1213g disc-brake wheelset that also offers an aerodynamic benefit over standard box section rims. </i>
<h1>TYRE WIDTH OPTIMISATION</h1><i>Designed around a 21mm internal rim width optimized for a 28c (hookless-compatible) tyre. These wheels feature a hookless/straight-sidewall design and are fully ETRTO-compatible and tubeless-ready.</i>

The Purpose _

We created the 32 Aerodynamicist UD Carbon Spoke Disc wheelset for riders who seek out the high mountains. The result of extensive research and development, and years of experience progressing proprietary HUNT Aerodynamicist designs, we paired lightweight, hookless rims with UD Carbon Spokes for added lateral stiffness, as well as further weight reduction. Laced to our new cold-forged Sprint SLC hubs with rapid 7.5-degree engagement and enhanced power transfer, this wheelset is exceedingly lightweight at 1213 grams, while still offering the responsiveness, reliability and serviceability that HUNT riders have come to expect.

HUNT recommends a 28mm tyre for best performance, tyre widths between 25mm and 47mm are also safe to use.   Note: best performance is usually gained by using tyre pressures lower than the maximum, you can see our blog post about this, read here.  Tubeless-ready for lower weight and rolling resistance.  Only use tyres marked as compatible with hookless (TSS) rims.  You must not exceed the maximum tyre pressure limits set out in the table below or the maximum limit set by your tyre manufacturer if this is lower.

Stated wheel weights: Our stated wheel weights reflect the wheelset only; without rim tape, tubeless valves or disc brake lock rings, as is industry standard. A 3% variance (lower or higher) in total system weight is normal for wheelset manufacturing.

All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh cobbled-rolling-road tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. Max system weight 125 kg (system weight – total weight of fully kitted up rider, bike and luggage). If the system is over 105 kg then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly.
