The ADHD Gravel Ride Series, spearheaded by Alex Bregenzer and Julien Riganti of the 8000Watt crew, has wrapped up its debut season. This ride series has been as much about community and mental health as it has been about the grind of gravel trails. From the start, Alex and Julien brought together people passionate about both cycling and raising awareness of ADHD, shining a light on how the sport can be a powerful tool for managing mental health challenges. In a standout twist, the season’s last ride in Vienna broke from gravel and took to the road—starting and ending at the Hotel am Brillantengrund, home to the beloved cycling apparel brand BBUC.

A Unique Finale: Vienna on the Road

Vienna’s ride was an exciting capstone, marking a departure from the usual gravel focus. Rolling through the city streets rather than remote trails, the change added an element of urban energy to the series’ end. The Hotel am Brillantengrund provided the perfect setting for the community to gather post-ride, with BBUC's iconic vibe blending seamlessly with the ADHD Gravel ethos. Here, new friendships were cemented, and conversations buzzed, amplifying the series’ spirit of inclusivity and support.

Alex & Julien’s Story: Cycling as ADHD Therapy

For both Alex and Julien, cycling is more than just a sport; it’s a key part of how they manage ADHD. Alex, an accomplished cyclist, has spoken openly about how the meditative rhythm of pedaling and the challenge of focusing on the trail ahead help him find clarity and calm. This series has given him a chance to share those benefits with others who might be facing similar battles, inviting them to experience how structured exercise, fresh air, and the camaraderie of the cycling community can be therapeutic.

Julien, too, sees cycling as a powerful outlet, both for self-expression and focus. As a creative behind 8000Watt, his role allows him to connect with riders from all walks of life, offering them a space to be open about mental health challenges that often feel isolating. Through this series, he’s made it clear that managing ADHD doesn’t have to be a solo struggle; community and shared experiences are central to the journey.

Support the Mission & Win Big

To help further Alex and Julien's mission, they’ve set up a donation fund on GoFundMe. Contributions will go toward supporting mental health initiatives, expanding awareness, and creating more spaces for open dialogue about ADHD. To show their appreciation for the support, there’s also a raffle for some incredible prizes, including a set of HUNT’s 40 Carbon Gravel Race Wheels—perfect for any rider looking to elevate their gravel game.

So, if you’ve been inspired by the ADHD Gravel Ride Series or want to support a cause that makes a real difference, consider donating to their GoFundMe page and get a chance to ride off with some top-tier gear. Join the mission, support mental health, and let’s keep this momentum rolling into the future.
