In 2015, the Marchment brothers, Tom and Pete, combined their extensive experience and passion for cycling to launch a new company built to serve riders with purpose-driven wheel solutions.
The idea for HUNT emerged from their perception that the wheel industry was lagging behind the rapid technological advancements in the bike industry, and the evolution of how and where riders were using their bikes. Additionally, they sought to answer a broader issue: many wheel sets available lacked the durability needed to withstand the gritty UK weather year-round, as well as the key performance attributes that were enabling new styles of riding. Riders (like Tom and Pete) were seeking wider, tubeless-ready wheel sets that could handle the gravel roads and single track paths that linked the best routes together.
Their first product provided an answer for the cyclists of the UK: a wide, durable, tubeless-ready alloy all-road rim wheel system launched in collaboration with Mason Cycles, designed to amplify the versatility, capability, and performance that the brand was delivering with their frames. Through obsessive attention-to-detail and thoughtful specification choices that focused on rider performance needs rather than price points, these wider, tougher wheelsets were also light and responsive, improving the overall performance of the bike.
